With China's ongoing reform and the recovery
of local property and construction markets,
the Company achieved progressive growth
in scale. The increasingly scientific management
and operation, surging transactions and
turnover, growing numbers of profit-making
projects and enhanced operational efficiency
marked this period as the growing and developing
stage of the Company.
In 1986, China Construction
Engineering Corporation(Hong Kong Area)
was re-named as China State Construction
Engineering Corporation (Hong Kong Area)
after its parent company's name change.
During the second stage
of development, the Company besides actively
participated in (HKHA) projects, it also
aggressively acquired projects from Architectural
Services Department (ASD). Projects included
government Indoor games hall, hospital extension

Company achieved remarkable breakthrough
in private building project by successfully
bidding contracts for Tuen Mun Town Plaza,
followed by Hilltop Garden, South Pacific

Department (WSD). The work scope enlarged
from general works for roads, drainage,
mountain cutting, land reclamation to airport
apron, bridges, rubbish landfill, sewage
treatment and other sophisticated works.

projects with contract value amounting HK$
7,740 million; 37 civil projects amounting
