| The
Wastewi$e Scheme is a recognition scheme
established to aid Hong Kong business
(including the construction industry)
in adopting measures to reduce the amount
of waste generated within their establishments
or generated through the services and
products they provide and recognize
the waste reduction efforts of those
companies. |

| The
Environmental Protection Department
(EPD) is the organiser of the Scheme
and the Hong Kong Productivity Council
(Wastewi$e Adviser) is responsible for
the co-ordination, assessment and provision
of assistance to those companies that
join the Scheme. When business achieve
the targets that they have set within
a period of 12 months their good efforts
will be recognized and they will be
granted the use of the Wastewi$e Logo
by the Government. |
