Huge resources are devoted
to staff training and the Staff Training
Committee has been set up to plan and implement
the annual training program. The training
curriculum ranges broadly from providing
knowledge in quality, safety, environment
protection and technology to computer software
application, contracting, language and management
skills. The Company also places considerable
resources to broaden staff perspectives
by organizing seminars that feature external
experts and professional consultants as
guest speakers.
Apart from on-job training,
staff is encouraged to take external courses
that facilitate their career advancement.
The Company also organizes overseas training
for selected staff members to acquire the
latest technological and operational skills.
To further prepare for the
future generation of professionals, China
State (Hong Kong) has launched the "Scheme
A Program" for engineering University graduates,
as well as "Apprenticeship Program" for
the graduates of VTC.
